The Belonging.
What exactly is the Belonging?
The real question is what does the Belonging mean to you?
After you’ve taken a few minutes to think about that question to yourself, I will tell you how the Belonging came to be.
The Background…
In the fall of 2017, I was finishing up my last academic year of college before heading down to Mexico for a few months to study abroad. I spent most of my weekends at home
Someone very close to me was struggling with their self-worth. I watched as this person became more and more depressed. His friends were not always there for him either. His family loved him and continually reached out to him, but this person faded away from the ones he loved. He struggled to find a place to belong. He struggled to find a place to fit in. His friends at school were not trustworthy, his classmates treated him wrong, and it just seemed like the world did not want him in it.
The world wanted him to be someone he was not, and it was like the world did not have room for him. I almost lost this person whom I loved.
Because of this, I created The Belonging.
I wanted to help people who felt like they had no place in this world. This blog is for the ones who felt left out, unwanted or were torn apart and left on the floor.
I wanted to give those people a place. I wanted to give them a home.
Now, I know a virtual blog is the farthest thing from a home. It does not have a roof, four walls or a door. It does not even have a room or a bed for a person to make their own. This was not my idea at all.
I wanted to write encouragement and help those who were lost find a place. I wanted to write about how to search for your purpose.
I think today it’s so hard for us to find our purpose. We are so afraid to jump off that cliff of comfort (Blog coming soon BTW) and dive into our purpose because we know that it will not be an easy thing to fall into.
I hope you enjoy the Belonging. I hope you find yourself. I hope somewhere along the way you find your purpose.
If you are lost, wandering, running away from something or someone, I hope that the Belonging can be your home, your piece of truth, your reminder that you are enough.
Because you are. You are enough.
Welcome to the Belonging.
